The Promise, in One Paragraph
Every repair and installation Latch & Post performs is covered by the 365-Day Done Right Promise. If something we fixed or installed isn’t working right within 365 days of your service date, we come back, we look at it, and we make it right – at no charge to you. No forms to file, no fees, no argument. The promise is printed on your receipt and it means exactly what it says.
What’s Covered
- Our workmanship on every job we performed. If the repair or installation we completed doesn’t hold, that’s on us to fix.
- Parts we supplied and installed. If a component we sourced and fitted fails within 365 days, we replace it on the return visit.
- The return visit itself. Scheduling a follow-up under this promise costs you nothing – no service call fee, no diagnostic charge, nothing.
- A full redo when a repair doesn’t hold. If a patch doesn’t last, we don’t patch it again and leave. We figure out the right fix and do that.
- The clean-up standard on the return visit. Shoe covers, drop cloths, and a cleanup photo before we leave – the same as the first time, every time.
- Honest communication if something bigger has changed. If we find a new problem unrelated to the original job, we explain it clearly and give you a written price before touching anything new.
What Isn’t Covered
- Damage from a storm, accident, or impact after our visit. If a vehicle backs into a gate we installed last month, that’s a new repair – not a warranty claim. We’ll still come out and give you a written price to fix it.
- Work performed by someone else on the same equipment. If another technician touched the gate after we did, we can’t stand behind what changed. We’ll take a look and tell you honestly what we find.
- Parts or components you supplied. We can only cover parts we sourced ourselves. If you provided the hardware and it fails, that falls outside what we can guarantee.
- Normal wear on equipment we didn’t install or refurbish. Every gate has parts that wear over time – rollers, hinges, brushes. If we didn’t replace or service a specific component, we don’t cover its natural end of life.
- Problems you declined to have fixed when we flagged them. We flag anything that looks like a developing issue during every visit. If you chose to hold off on a repair we recommended, and that item later fails, it sits outside the promise. We’ll still come look, and we’ll still be straightforward about what it will take.
- Cosmetic changes you asked for after the job was done. The promise covers function, not style preferences that shifted after the work was complete.
How to Use the Promise
Step 1: Call (626) 649-4572 or book online
A live person answers every call, day or night, including weekends and holidays – no voicemail, no callback queue. Tell us you’re calling about a job that’s covered under the Done Right Promise and we’ll pull it up right away.
Step 2: Tell us the job and roughly when
You don’t need your receipt, a confirmation number, or anything else. We have every job on file – the date, the work we performed, and the parts we installed. Just describe what you’re seeing and we’ll find it.
Step 3: We schedule the return visit
We set a time that works for your household – including evenings if that’s easier. No fee, no paperwork, no pressure to also approve something new before we show up.
Step 4: We make it right
The technician arrives, looks at what happened, and fixes it – the same care standard as the first visit, the same shoe covers and drop cloths, and the same cleanup photo before they leave. If something unexpected comes up that falls outside the original job, you’ll have a written price before anyone touches it.
Timing
The 365-day window starts on your service date, which is logged in our system. If you call on day 366 about something that started bothering you on day 360, we’re not going to turn you away over a date – we’re going to come look. That’s what reasonable people do. Each Latch & Post location is independently owned and operated, but every one of them is part of the Cedarwell family and every one of them honors this promise. The name on the truck and the promise behind it are the same thing.
